Farm Contracting

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

It’s really not good farming weather at the minute, but let’s not forget a couple of years ago when you couldn’t even drive on the fields in a rubber dingy! See this week’s weather below;

This Week's Weather

With Farm Contractors flat out at this time of year we are currently seeing a steady increase in searches for certain services on Rural Contractor. This has led to an over usage on our servers and due to such a high volume of search traffic we have recently upgraded our hosting to give you a better service and overcome load speed issues, I suppose we became a victims of our own success! However we have now invested heavily in a new server suite to give you the best possible service as we know speed and time matters to Farm Contractors and Farmers.

If you have not already registered remember it is 100% free to register as a farmer or rural contractor today.

Tell me more about Rural Contractor…

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

We have had a few people asking for more information, so we have provided some more info below;

We are currently seeing a rapid growth in registrations across RuralContractor.co.uk we are calling this the “land grab stage.” To give you a bit more detail on our plan; we launched RuralContractor.co.uk in July 2010 and we are now focusing on getting as many farmers/contractors as possible onto the website by direct marketing. We will then move to Phase 2 which is to market to other farmers in your local area who are looking for specific specialist services to help promote your service.

What is our aim?

Rural Contractor.co.uk will become the UK’s first completely free Farm Contractors Search and Find Database which is bespokely designed and built by farmers for farmers.

Who is behind the idea and running Rural Contractor.co.uk

This website is part of Inspire Business Ltd. A rural, farming business with a focus on delivering online solutions to practical problems experienced in the UK countryside. We own and operate several existing websites including KissingGates.com, a market leading rural dating website.

How do you make money if it’s 100% free?

We don’t plan to make any money from RuralContractor.co.uk in 2010, our focus is on building the biggest and best database online. However we will be selling advertising on the website in 2011 to generate an income form the website.

My services are not listed on the registration form.

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Having launched we have found that some of the farm contractors are not finding the specialised services they offer in the registration form.

We are currently working on improving Rural Contractor registration so you can also enter your own “other” services.

The reason this was not in for launch is the shear number of potential services- Thank you for the feedback and hopefully this will be resolved soon, please send any more comments or suggestions to info@ruralcontractor.co.uk
